I saw where the mention of nose hooking flukes came up.I've been nose hooking flukes for a while now even before I knew of the video of and I have seen my hookup ratio go way up.

Ya, until you try it......it's easy to be skeptical.
And I assume your using 'traditional wide gaps' too.
That's the way I started 'nose hooking'.
Give the screw lock in the nose a try sometime.....may save you  some money on plastics?

I use a small straight shank I'm not exactly what wire you would call them they aren't superline strength hooks but they aren't lightwires either.
