Not here to pick a fight with my brand better than yours stuff.... but what happened with Legend?
Financial issues?  Morris wrote too big of a check to pass up?  I just never really heard the story and noticed most of the Legend pros are in new rigs this year.

Lane went to Nitro and the Lee brothers went to Ranger..... so obviously Morris is calling the shots whatever the story is.....

It sucks whatever the reason, if I ever left BCB it would be for a Legend. Or, would have been anyway.

What difference does it make, they are in the boat to get the sponsorship money. The money is. Owing from the same place now so what's the difference. The pros don't pick the boat because they live it they pick for the money. This isn't meant to be about you guys on this thread but the hate for johnny Morris and BPS on this forum is over the top. If Legend/Ranger was doing such a great job the would still be in business. Johnny didn't come in with a gun and force them to sell.

By the way I fish out of a Lund so I have to dog in this hunt. But I enjoy the convenience of shopping at BPS

I knew the owners of Legend pretty well and since day one there was always a price. I'll just leave it at that.

The owners goal was to build a great fishing platform that would handle lakes like Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend when they were showing their arses. They accomplished that, I've loved all 6 of my Legends. I got out of the program the year before the V20 because of health issues, but the V20 owners are proud of their rides.

Another goal was to build this stable platform with the finest materials available and highest technology available. Their transoms are amazing, their hulls are tough as anything I've driven. Legends are Cadillac's of bass boats, not the fastest but they challenge any boat to rough water and cornering. I just hope they continue to advance in tech. I've been told that JM is going to keep the V20 as advanced as the rest of his properties ~bb

I've never fished from one, but I drooled all over a V20 at the boat show a few years ago, and man is it "woops"y and well built.

I've always liked the Legend.  Hate to see the smaller companies fold to the bigger ones.  Hopefully Legend will stick around.

I've heard ol Johnny wants to move Triton into the Legend plant.
Some people seem to think pros get paid tons of money to fish out of a certain boat..very few do.
They do get a discount and some have a loan against them. At the end of the year they sell them and hope to satisfy the loan and order a new one and start over again.

Some of the companies would be long gone if JM hadn't bought them and he'll do what he has to to make them profitable.

Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

No use to have them if you can't make money!
