I have decided to have my 4 blade prop refurbished.  While it is at the shop I have installed a 3 blade prop that also came with the boat but never installed.  Here are the differences in the prop that I need an expert to tell me if these props are compatible to my boat.

First I am not a speed deamon on the water but I do like a good hole shot and like to keep the boat on plane as slow as possible.  The 4 blade has always been adequate.

The 4 blade is a Shooter 13- 1/4" X 27  It is a 15 spline part number 431719

The 3 blade is a Raker 14-1/2" x 26  It is a 15 spline part number 394756

So I have different size and was wondering if that works or should I be thinking of something else for my 4 blade.

The motor is a Johnson 150hp fast strike made in 1991 and had a new power head installed last year  I have not run the 3 blade ever so I can't give you any additional information about it until I can get to the water.

Any help would be appreciated so I can somewhat understand what would be a good prop for my Rangere 365V  running on cruise between 3500 and 4000 rpm

Both sound like too much pitch for that motor Bud. That's essentially the same as my Intruder. 4 blade Renegade was a 13 1/2 23P and three blade a 14 1/2 24P RAKER will be your performance props.

Most bassboats rigged with that motor had a Renegade Bass 4 blade 13 1/2 x 23P.

My Intruder at WOT 64mph GPS at 5800 RPM with the Renegade.

Jim, that is what my thoughts are as well.  Just never paid attention before to the prop after all these years.  Perhaps I should have.  Did you sell your 4 blade you had for sale last year?

I think you'd be impressed beyond words if you put a Renegade 4 blade 23p on there. Mine has been heavily modified for the ETEC but if we ever have both boats in the same water, I'll let you try it.

Another thing, You'll discover you will run the gade further below the pad than the 3 blade.
