Cypress Lake Crappie Report

Took my wife & daughter to Cypress today. We started about 4pm & fished til 8. We caught 18 crappie & 2 bass. All fish were shallow & scattered. We covered lots of water & caught one here & one there.

We were fishing with a white Lil Fishie rigged up onto a beetle spin, fished either REALLY slow or slowly jigged along the bottom in less than 2 ft of water. I also tried a jig with no takers.

Water temps (when I noticed) were 70-71

Went yesterday from 0700-1130 and caught 25 crappie, 2 catfish, and a jackfish on bettle spins. The water was 64-67 and the fish had pulled back into 4-5 of water. Most fish came off 1 dock and the rest where hit and miss.
