I am within a couple months of putting in my order!!   Needless to say I am about to jump out of my skin and it is very hard to not put the order in today....but I have to do this smart and try to get all the details of the boat and what I want / need on it....

What are a few things that you guys have discovered that is priceless that is not already on a BCB Premium boat.

I have the motor, electronics, troll motor, and second console already worked out. also will get the hot foot and blinker trim.....

Thanks for your help!!

Hydrolic jack plate?

That would be the only other thing that comes to mind right away.

Also, the upgraded fulton jack really is nice. It's a lot better than the old school ones.

Elwood, as long as you have been planning your upcoming purchase, I am sure you have been through the features and options list thousands of times.  I'll bet you already have a list of all the things you are gonna order with your boat.  It might be a bit more productive if you could provide us with a list items you know you are going to order.  Somehow I doubt that you have missed much if anything.  It must be a great feeling to be buying a boat of this quality and reputation.

Bud...you are correct.   I have been putting color combos together nightly....lol  The standard features are pretty good so there is not a lot to add.  I upgraded to a 10" graph on the console and went with a 7" on the bow.  I am putting 112 Minn Kota on the front and 250 Pro XS on the back with a 8 inch manual jack plate. I do not want power poles.  I also added the transducer protectors.  Damn this is a lot to think about.....

I will need to add the Hamby's  (just figured that out)
Thinking about the upgraded bunks
Stereo....how many have them and do you use it?

You got the recess trolling motor pedal tray installed?  How come you didn't get the power poles ?

I ordered a boat near the beginning of the year so I can understand this lol

I have a Ranger though so not much info to add other than.

Don't get a stereo. If you price them they are crazy. I bet the boat has a built in 12v charger for accessories like a a phone or whatever. Buy a waterproof Bluetooth speaker for $50 and plug it in with a charger. Most last quite a while on the battery life and are rechargeable.

Then use your phone as the stereo.

All BCB have the recessed foot petal....BCB was the manufacture to make it standard equipment...way back in the 90's

I don't need a 4000.00 anchor.....lol  Really I just never have had enough of a reason to put that kind of cash into them...

I would spend extra time studying the trailer.  Since so many of the boat options are either after market or dealer installed. The Trailer suspension options, or road armor options or even options for trailer steps can pay big personal dividends.  Also I did not see a boarding ladder in the boat options and I would assume it has one be if not you should consider strongly. If the battery system does not have a jump start box it might be worth it as well as an upgrade with the onboard charger.  No matter what you have to be prepared for a 4 battery system even if you are needing one right now.  I see the eyra has a 4 battery tray as standard

Dual Console boats are known to have a better resale value and if you have not ordered the second console even if it is not installed might be a good investment should you ever want to sell the boat.

Pay extra attention during the boat delivery process.  Spend as much time as you need to check each and every detail along with fit and finish.  Don't pay until you are 100 % certain all is well.  It's your money and you deserve to be the biggest pain in the butt they have every seen.   ;D

Last Item.  Be sure check and double check the boat order.  It is your last chance to fully document and understand the choices.  If it ain't on the order you run a chance of not getting what you expected.  Verbal changes are not acceptable.

Darren, I bought a cheap-o from Wal-Mart I think called "The Cube".  Has really good sound, is rechargeable and is a lot more loud than what you would need.  I mounted mine with Velcro under the drivers side console so you cant see it at all.

BassCat boats come with practically everything you could want in standard equipment. The accessory list is really quite small in relation to other builders. Things I added because of age, arthritis and such---boarding ladder, hot foot and steering wheel trim switch and finally, a step box. My reasons:
1) Boarding ladder- it's hard for an older angler to get back into the boat without one.
2) Hot Foot- if you drive rough water lakes, you definitely  need it for safety.
3) Trim- rough water lakes require both hands on the wheel when the waves are up.
4) Step Box- older anglers start losing stability and stepping on a third seat can throw you off balance. The step box is flat, stable and offers extra storage for small things.
One other thing I suggest- a Minnkota trolling motor if you use 36 volts. It can be pulled up with two fingers and has an assist. The Motorguide 36 volt trollers have to be stepped on slightly to make it easier to release the motor from storage and is a bitch on your back pulling it into fishing position.
An assist for the motor can be bought for about $100 but isn't as good as the standard Minnkota assist.
BassCat's removable console is easy to do. I did single console during tournament season and dual console during cold weather to protect my passenger.
BassCat's trailers are built and jigged in-house for each model. Top quality in all aspects. As a matter of fact, the boat is built entirely in-house from composite hull to seats. It also comes with LIFETIME transferable warranty on the hull. I had a Ranger to use most of my tournament life but my personal boat was a BassCat.

Awesome!  Congrats on the Eyra.... you will love it... one of my buddies just got one... had been running a Cougar FTD and decided to try the Eyra.  He says it's his favorite Cat to date.

must haves:
1. hot foot
2. blinker trim
3. step box
4. graph upgrades.... I have the 700 series and they are fine but hard to read running wide open.
5. e-ladder... never use it but if I ever do it will have been worth it.
6. TM upgrade... get more power than you think you need.... mine is fine but I'll be going bigger soon
7. Battery upgrade... get the best and biggest you can afford...never heard someone say they wished their batteries didn't last quite so long!

that's pretty much all I can think of at the moment...... can't wait to see pics....
