Velcro wire wraps are readily available from different companies in a wide variety of sizes and price ranges.  They are quite handy for the angler and are inexpensive enough that if you loose one, you aren't going to shed many tears.

When not in use, wraping them around the handle of a tackle bag keeps them in place waiting to be deployed to service again.

I use them to hold two piece rods together, one on either end keeps them together until the next time you need the rod.

They are invaluable when you want to tie down a drop shot weight, or maybe even keep a Carolina rig from slapping your rod.

And these are just a few, what do you think you can do with one or a few.

Check out this film to see what I"m talking about with tieing down weights.

Great idea! I always get a mess with my catfish rigs because of this. Perfect fix  ~c~

They work well if you don't have one of the "Texas Style" hook keepers on your rod. You can wrap one just above the weight on a Texas rigged plastic and that way you don't have to keep pushing the hook through your bait  to attach it to the rod when running to the next spot etc. Saves wear and tear on the plastics so they go a little further.
