Hey guys, I didn't know where else to go, so I thought I would check and see if anyone here knew how much a 2004 Nitro 700lx should be worth? The guy claims it only has 30 engine hours(and looking at the boat I believe him, it's super clean). He's asking $8000 for it and the trailer. Is that a good deal? Or too pricey?

welcome aboard, jake.

there are a number of on-line reference (like Kelly Blue Book) you can use to validate asking price.  I'd also check w/ dealers - check out their used boat listings to get a feel for what's what.

as for the 30 hours, I'd have that verified by a tech.  a quick computer download can tell just about everything you'll need to know before pulling the trigger on something like this.  since the boat is 12 years old and the big motor has only 30 hours, I'd guess there's a new powerhead in the mix.  ask the seller for the maintenance records.  a visit to the shop he used could be an invaluable source of background info.

good luck!

I agree completely. The 700LX being a smaller boat might have been and become a low use recreational bassboat. Lot's of smaller, lower cost boats get purchased and fished on or two seasons then, set in a garage for years only being used once or twice a year. Have the motor checked out by a shop. The mechanic can tell you everything.
