More Hair Jigs & Flies!

We've been getting some nasty thunder storms here last couple days, so I've stayed around the house.

I got a phone call from a very nice young fellow from the Charleston area who had seen some of my flies posted online & asked if I would tie 6 for him to chase Redfish. He & his wife were passing through the area, so my wife & I met them in town to give him the flies & we got to chat a bit about fly fishing for bass & Redfish. It was nice to meet another fly flinger.

On the way into town while we were passing the lake I spotted an alligator that I would estimate to be about 5 feet long about 30 ft off the side of the road in a land locked part of the lake! That was a first for me & my wife since we moved here! Very Cool! 

Of course now my wife won't go near the water! 

The half dozen flies I tied up are like this one on a size 2 stainless hook:



While I was sitting & tying and since it was pouring outside at the time, I went ahead & tied up some jig heads I had sitting around. These are all 1/8 oz molded on either Gamakatsu heavy wire black nickel hooks or Mustad Ultra Point black nickel hooks.

Dyed Fox tail & rabbit strip tail.



Another Craw pattern I call "Soft Molting Craw". Dyed Fox tail & rabbit strip combination.



Dyed Coyote tail. Both the brown & the tan are from the same tail.



Natural Black bear hair.



Dyed Fox tail, light blue over black on a weedless Arky Head in 1/8 oz.
