Triton boat aerator not working

I have an '08 TR 185. Recent trip to lake went to put fish in livewell and the aerator wouldn't work. I can push the switch up for timed aerator or down for manual fill but neither will work. The indicator lights on the switch will come on for either setting but no sound from the pumps or water flow.

The recirculating pump does work but that's on a separate circuit.

If it's a tripped circuit breaker I wouldn't think the light on the switch would work.

Looks like a real pain to get to the pumps but wouldn't think both would be out at once.

Any suggestions?

Unless there is a relay in the circuit, which I highly doubt, the light in the switch indicates power in the system. Looks like either both pumps are bad or clogged. It doesn't take much to bind up the impeller in the pumps. I've seen cat fish slime do it. After a day of catch fishing and using the livewell, both my pumps were trashed. After pulling them out the slime around them, mixed with a little bit of debris had completely stopped them from working.

I'm sure you've visually checked, but your livewell fill and timed aeration could be the same pump. The difference is in the selected circuit. On fill, the pump runs constantly until you shut it off when the livewell is full. On timed, it uses a circuit with a timer in it to power the pump. Both sides of the switch could be going to the same pump.

Thanks Mike....Finally was able to check things out and did actually turn out to be a tripped breaker. Perhaps I left it on last time I left the lake and it just got hot.

Guess I'll find out Saturday if there is an issue..

Be careful with it. I once helped a guy with his livewell issues and come to find out, salvania seeds got into the tubing and were rooted. How they were doing it without sun light I have no idea. He had screens on all ports. Anyway the rooting caused clogging and slow operation

Well.... spent about 8 hours on T. Bend today and livewell pumps worked normally. No issues with manual or timer water flow..

Even caught a few fish and they were lively and fine a weigh-in... ~fff    Or maybe not so happy...

Good deal, always love a simple fix.
