From powerdrive to terrova

I just sold my Power Drive and mounted a Terrova but I had a minor problem, the quick disconnect plate wasn't quite right. The plate fits either unit no problem but it was installed using the PD, I set it up on the Terrova and it wouldn't deploy all the way. It turns out that there is an easy fix for the problem, I placed blue tape along the back edge and 1 side of the fixed plate , un-bolted it from the hull, mounted the Terrova and placed it so it would deploy correctly. I measured the difference and I had to move the plate 7/8 of an inch closer to the edge of the gunnel. Since I didn't want to drill more holes in the boat I carefully measured to drill the plate, drilled it in stages and viola, Terrova mounted and ready to go.

   Good deal.  It is amazing how one model differs from another this way.  Nothing is standard any more.
