Way to bring back the popular 50, er 70? Its back anyway. I guess they either listened to the people or they had this in development the whole time.

Either way, Im screwed. My Wife is gonna kill me if I get my hands on one.

Cats out of the bag, coming February 2016 the new Shimano Curado 70 Reels. We are working to secure our first shipment and are VERY LIKELY to offer a pre-order on these reels based on the early interest and desire by several customers to secure this reel on the first shipment.

Question for you guys, just out of curiosity (mostly my own), what about this reel interests you most?

Reel size? Weight? Specs? Look?

I'm asking because often I only see the product from my perspective or that of Shimano. Personally, I want to update my frogging/flipping reels and light line casting rods.

I'll get more info up tomorrow and hopefully get a reel a little early for some on the water testing.

To answer this for you in my perspective (about my own Curado50E) is... the size for palmability is just amazing feeling in your hands. The ability to cast smaller and lighter baits compared to a full size 150 for 200 reel. The weight is a plus as well, especially with a lighter rod and lighter bait applications. These reels are not necessarily going to be the better choice for frogging or flipping, but thats not to say they cant get that job done as well. If you need some help with that product testing, dont be afraid to holler at me.
