I'm getting ready to install an LED set on the front deck for night fishing and a little bling/bling.
Question is for my fellow Legend guru's who know about the electronics for the key pad. I want to utilize either the A1 or A2 buttons on the key pad as the off on switch. I've shot all the wires coming out of the "Link" box under the dash and none of those wires were controlled by the A1 or A2. So, if the A1 or A2 buttons were not used, was the wire coming out of the link box not installed? I noticed several of the wire outputs were plugged. Does anyone know the connector and pin used for the A1 or A2 buttons?
Thank you in advance.

I was always told by Lou that the wires were there in case I wanted to hook something up to it later. I never followed up with that though.

Using a pin or needle you should be able to text the capped of wires?

Thanks for the quick response Mike.
I tested all the wires coming out of the Link box. However, there are some pins in the connector that are plugged without a wire coming out of it.
I would think the A1 and A2 buttons would always use a specific pin on the connector but maybe not.
Didn't want to go disconnecting things unless I knew it was the right connector.

I would think so as well.

Keep us posted if you figure it out. I'd call up there and ask Lou but last I heard he isn't there anymore. I'm sure they have someone in the know though...

You kidding! Lou was our go to guy. I wish I knew half of the boat knowledge he has forgotten. That's a huge loss for Legend in my opinion. He'll be missed.

Well that bites! Did he retire, health reasons, or just move on?

Guys I'm not real sure. I was under the impression it was a mutual split.
