When I return home from a fishing trip before uncoupling my trailer I turn on my truck lights and walk to the back of my trailer to check the tail lights. If they are OK then I know I'm ready to go fishing the next time. If I have a light that is out I will have time to fix it that day or the next day. I used to hate to find out I had a light out at 5 AM when heading out to go fishing.

Tks for sharing the tip.  I always do a walk around prior to leaving the house and after putting the boat back on trailer.
