Super nice ride there Phil.  Glad you got things worked out.  It will be nice to see yet another Champion out on the water around here.

:'( :'( :'( I have got the worst case of the new boat blues ! Since I have picked her up she has only got to get in the water 1 time  :'( :'( :'( And to beat it all , it was on a lake where the speed limit was only 8 mph !  :( I sure hope that I can stop working so much and get her out before she "DRYROTTS ! "  :(

Phil,

I'm starting to think you guys who buy Champion boats don't really like them.  There's OHBassaholic with a fine Champion rig that doesn't get wet, you with your beautiful Champion rig and it's been wet once.  What gives.  If you guys really don't like them that much, you coould always let me use'em.  Especially since I'm propless at the moment! ~xyz

Just to warn you, it is supposed to be pretty darn nice all week here in Ohio.  You oughta take that rig out!

I'm guessing there are many other members who have jobs that bite right now and keep them from getting their boats out...  Then there are those who are recouperating from surgery or the ones that work and go to school, etc. etc. etc.

Life sure has a nack for getting in the way.

Well , I have had the boat out about 6-7 times since my last post . I think that im starting to get the hang of things with it now . The boat seems to ride better and faster if there is a good 1.5 - 2' chop out on the lake . If the lake is smooth , I can only get around 67 mph out of it and it acts like it wants to flip over sideways . Put a good chop on the water and she will run over 71 mph and ride smooth as glass ! Go figure . I guess this hull desigh is made for rough water and it shows .

Nice boat. They take a little getting used to. When I first got mine, I thought I would never learn how to run it WOT. It took a while, but now I can do it with ease.
Check your motor height, they had mine set too high when got it. I lowered it 2 inches and it runs much better. Got rid of the high speed chine walking.
