My Toledo Bend krewe has forgone this spring trip due to someone leaving the plug out of the lake and draining it to hazardous conditions. We switched to Concordia and Bruin for about a week. It's been years since we've been there but we are typical south Louisiana bank beaters. We like structure that we can cast at. Our favorites are the gold rogue, weightless worms, and white spinnerbaits...

Where & How and any Lake specific tips would be much appreciated.

It has been a while since I have been to either Concordia or Bruin, but both lakes should be good for the spring.  Spinnerbaits and plastic should be the ticket.  For Concordia, each end has "flats" which could be good.  The bank line of the lake has cypress trees and lots of boat docks.  For Bruin, the end of the lake past the state park is a good area.  The bank line on Bruin is also lined with cypress trees and boat docks.  I have had better luck on from the mid lake area of Bruin to the end where the state park is.

I hope this helps.  Good luck and we look forward to your fishing report.

Concordia should be prime right now.....As Eddie stated in the LA sportsman those big fish
spawn early on the northern flat.
I'd soke a jig pretty heavily right now for a big fish.  If the bite is slow use a big senko and just let it sink.
The north end may be full of boat causing lock jaw.  The fish also spawn on the lake banks in the main lake.
There are few options for cover though only have cypress trees, piers, and brush piles.  It's full of shad so, I'd stick close to shad colored cranks, Red shad is the best worm color, and can't beat black/blue jig, watermellon/pepper on senko, chart/white spinnerbait.

Good luck...When will you be going?

I'll be there April 5-9...I'll report when I get back. Until then I'll keep trout fishing in Dulac...
