Our next event will be on the Red River, out of RRSM, on April 19th.  Since this event was moved up a week (conflict with BASS Open), we will NOT be having the Red River OFF-LIMITS this week...to allow folks to prefish.

Please do not forget that there is EARLY REGISTRATION (4:45 - 5:30am) for this event, with a "first cast" at 6:15am. If you plan on going out before safe light, you MUST have (and be USING) a spotlight...failure to do so WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION and your entry fees will be forfeited!

I've had several texts/calls/emails asking various questions about this tournament, I will address them here: 1. Cooley Lake, Port Slack Water Harbor (barge turnaround), and Steven's Lake (in Pool 4) are ALL OFF-LIMITS...anyone seen fishing in there will be DISQUALIFIED; 2. TRAILERING is NOT allowed for this, or any of our tournaments, since the non-trailering rule was voted for at the rules/Classic vote meeting last September. If you want to fish in Pool 4, then you'll have to Lock through like all of the other non-trailering tournaments; 3. Spotlights must be adequate for the speed that you are running. Nobody will be allowed out on the main river, before safe light, without a spotlight...anyone running in the dark, without a spotlight, will be DISQUALIFIED.  We need to be safe out there, and running a without adequate lighting is a safety issue that won't be tolerated.

This will be my fist time to fish Caddo out of Shady Acres. Could someone help with directions to the ramp? Thank you

Coming from Shreveport on Highway 1, turn left at the only street light in Oil City.  Go down that road about 2 miles, until it makes a hard right turn...and it's on the left about 200 yards down, just past a sign that says Kool Point.
