Fished Miracle Strip Bass Club's June tournament today.  Water temp was 83-88 degrees depending on where you were - creeks were warmer.  Skies were clear and tides were incoming in the morning - falling in afternoon.  Lack of current most of the day made fishing extremely tough.  Top sack today was 4 fish going 6.09.  Big fish was 1.89 and second place had 5 going 5.38.  Frogs and jigs with craw trailers were the baits that got bit today.  I was throwing a small plastic craw in green pumpkin for my lone keeper and caught about 15-20 shorts today.  Winning fish all came from up river today.

how you even fished up in around the muth of Rice creek? That sometimes can be a good place too if the currents are tough. It seems that rice always has a little water dumping into the river......

Mouth of Rice Creek eh?  Will have to look that one up on the map.  Headed to Blackwater River NE of Pensacola for a club tourney this weekend.  Have never done worth a darn there - but will give it a shot and see what I can pull out.
