I found a site called bass boat central. It has alot of adds.

Over the winter, I am looking for the nicest ranger possible for under 10K. With patience, I expect to end up in a early 2000's model with a Yamaha 150 or bigger and would be a goal to get a solid 10 years of service out of.

I will take every precaution you guys have adviced ie..compresion testing and good hull and transome inspection on my terms at a marina designated by me so not to get the "good 'ol boy" treatment.

I found my BCB on BBC.... lol

You can just about count on the fact that, if people are wiling to Pay to advertise the sale of their boat, they should be fairly legit. Posting ads on BBC is NOT free. Or wasn't, unless it's changed. Not saying there Aren't crooks on there so be careful regardless... But you should feel confident in shopping there.

I have been a member on BBC for years and they do a great job keeping most everybody straight. ~cf
