Fished Cross again today from 7-330. Started on the east end against the rocks in the southeast corner. Had two short strikes on a crankbait and picked up one slot and 1 under on a chrome/blue rattle trap. Went over to the American Legion to fish in front of it but there was too many people bank fishing, so I fished the opposite side of that pocket and caught 1 more under on the rattle trap. This one had about a 4 inch catfish poking out of his mouth.  Moved over to the north bank just west of the bridge and caught a spotted bass that was over on the rattle trap and another slot fish, as well as a large hybrid. Picked up another over and another slot punching matted grass next to reeds and wood. Continued punching grass along the north bank with no luck, and had another short strike, this time on a white spinnerbait slow rolled.  Called it a day because I hate cleaning fish in the dark. Water temp 60 all day.

Sounds like a good day on Cross ~c~ And typical of the fall bite there, you better have several rods rigged and be versatile  ~c~
