Launched at Fleming Park today at about 7 am. Went out and started fishing the north bank just before Twin Islands and caught a nice over on a chart/black squarebill. Fished on the north bank until about 8 and went south into the cypress trees. Fished a while with no bites then went back into one of the channels. Caught an under on a punching rig that I cast into open water to remove a small backlash. Fish grabbed it as I was burning it back to the boat, made no sense. Caught another under on the squarebill back in the creeks. Went back to the north shore and caught an under on a chrome/blue rattle trap, then two more on a chart/black rattle trap. Caught a chunky slot fish on the rattle trap then one more under on a money craw texas rigged. Water temps 58-61. Brutal east wind up until about noon. Packed up for the hacienda at about 2:30.

Good report and sounds like and even better day. You really been getting on them, congrats.
Were most fish up shallow?

They were all up shallow, but not right against the bank. Probably in the 2-3 foot range.

Oh forgot to mention, the channel into Flemings was absolutely alive when I was leaving and when I was coming back. Looked like either white bass or crappie. They were popping everywhere but I couldn't get them to hit anything. If you trying to catch some meat fish this might be a good area to try.
