Long day fishing , tired, get to back of boat and try to get water in bag without getting yourself wet. Then its back in boat to get fish in bag, whops spilled water do again. This is so simple every boat co could easily do this. Attched clear plastic tubing 3.5 ft long to rec. fitting with a clamp, added weight to end of tubing. Now I can sit in boat and fill bag and then put in fish without moving bag. Att pic.
I will give skeeter a for effort with tubing in back pump out, but they put in back instead of livewell.

I agree, I've often wondered why they didn't just tuck a hose up under the lip of the livewell. Then when you needed it you could pull it out and fill your bag.

I think the parts from Home depot were about $6 for enought hose to do two livewells. Tried it out last sat and it worked perfect. Going to do the other side this week.

That is a great idea oldjim, I think I'll try this myself  :-*

In fact, this is such a great idea, it should be in the tips board. If you want, I can move it there for you  ;)

I just use a big plastic coffee can, in fact I have one with some tools and other small things I like to keep on the front deck, keeps the rain off the stuff and keeps it all together. I use one for a trash bucket, and have one as a pee/bailing bucket. Cheap, low tech, always works, costs nothing.

Remind me never borrow your coffee can.   :-*

That is a good idea though for tools and you never know when you will need a bail bucket.

Good tip Jim.  I see a lot of guys at the ramp holding their bags under the hole in the back and hitting the switch for pump out. Then going back to the well to get the fish.  Jim

Thanks for the tip.

Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

Finished outher side tonight, by the way end cap you slide the tubing onto is not glued on and can come off  so I glued it on with abs pipe dope.

Most of the salt boats come with a raw water hose, wonder if that would work?
