Ice Cold Peanuts

Where are all of the fishermen? I was almost alone last night and had a very good 3 hours. 6 fish including 18.5, 19 and 19.5 inch bass on a Zero Texas rigged in roughly 8 foot of water. Little doubt I could have caught a few more if I'd have stuck with it. I've had my hours cut to part time recently and I have all afternoon available but thinking of the wife working hard while I fish causes me no end of guilt. 54 years old and having to look for work is so discouraging. Thank God for those fish.

That is a great night of fishing, those are nice fish.   My son moved to Omaha a few weeks ago so I will probably be spending some time down there.   I am bringing him my old 1448 grumman john boat with a 25hp.  Are there lakes around there that will be fishable with that rig?

Your john boat will work on everything around here. Everything is roughly 400 acres and smaller. All are no wake. The fish here in the metro are pressured but catchable. Just have to put in the time.
