Replacing the older MOMO wheel with the new current steering wheel. Have the old wheel off, the large nut off but not sure how the flange comes off, at this point, to put the new wheel back on? Does not seem to want to move easily and don't want anything broken. Anyone know if this has to turn back counterclock wise like the large nut to remove, pull straight out or HOW to remove? Have never replaced a boat steering wheel and just don't want to do something I shouldn't. Anyone know what to do once the old wheel and large nut has been removed? Thanks for any help.
I did ask on BCB board but have not had a response and really would like to get the new wheel in place as "can't go fishing without it"!

Bobsquatch13,

I'd call parts... Might be tough right now with OI.  Also, post over at the big house.  BassCat has someone always monitoring their board.  Keep the faith.  Someone will respond.

Yep, I posted directly on BCB site, also on bbc Basscat forum...have not tried calling as just got to this point and after their hours back in Arkansas and with the OI not sure if anyone around to answer? Someone said to use a "puller" but that outside flange piece left after the wheel and large nut removed seems pretty fragile and definitely don't want to break anything. Wait and see if I hear from anyone?

Got it changed over. Put old wheel back on, threaded large nut onto steering shaft part way. Had my wife get up and push top of old wheel with me using my knees to pull bottom of old wheel and I used a hammer and punch and broke loose pretty easy and reinstalled new wheel in minutes. My wife tried hitting but just didn't pop it hard enough, afraid of hitting herself I think. Looks great now with the new wheel!

Fantastic.....  How about a pic?  If you need posting let me know I can help.

I sent PM to you re pics but not sure if that went thru. I have pic and post frequently on bbc boards but have no idea how to post picture on here?

Not sure if the pic is going to work but IF SO this is how the new wheel looks on my 2002 Classic. The standard MOMO wheel was great but this really looks good up close.
