Hey guys I'm fishing a tournament this afternoon and the spot I'm planning on fishing is a prespawn staging area that is connected to the man lake. I've caught both times ive fished it in the past week and a half. That being said I've used kvd 2.5s, 1/2oz traps, and jerkbaits to catch these fish. Well both times the wind was blowing into the point at about 15mph. Once from the north once from the south. The way the point is positioned it's on a little bend which allows the wind to hit it from either side. So my question is today the wind is blowing south from 5 to 7 mph do you guys think I will still be able to pick up fish without the wind or should I change technique? Thanks in advance.

Man, this was a brain teaser math question.

Short answer, if you have been having success with a bait or technique, it is worth a shot, but don't put in too much time if you are not getting bit

Yes. Start with what has been working. Then switch it to something like dragging a football jig, or rolling a spinnerbait.

Thanks for the responses guys that's my plan just wanted to get a second opinion there's about 100 in my head lol. But dragging a jig will will be my next plan of attack of it doesn't produce.

Dont overthink it. That is what kills most people, and it happens to everyone on every level of fishing.

Keep it simple, fish your strengths. Nothing is magic, present the lures the best way you know how.

Crankbaits are actually one of my weaknesses but the bite has been on. I've gained alot of confidence in just the past two trips. I am very confident in the spot I know the fish will be there just have to figure out how to catch them today.
