After one hour forty five minute drive from my dealer:  Brech Marine in Selma, AL.

The Cover requires no straps,  goes on in little over three minutes and stays true to form after long  drives at interstate speeds over 70 mph.

Very cool ~c~

Mike,  thanks for your help.

BassCat's custom cover is the coolest boat blanket I've seen.  No straps,  snap on one support pole front middle deck,  roll down the cover, since being custom made it fits over each rear corner of the boat like a bed sheet, connect the two draw strap hooks to each other under jack plate and ratchet it tight. It draws up tight under the rub rail for a glove fit that is secure.   ~c~ ~c~ ~c~   After four installs it takes me around 3 minutes plus and your done.  What impressed me is how well it maintains it's shape after interstate speed travel.

That is pretty cool Tom ! Thanks for the video . I'd like to find a similar one for mine, I have the heavy duty one already but would like a lightweight one also

BigWrench,

This is a heavy duty cover that is lightweight.  Aurora Canvas did the exclusive design for Rick Pierce,  President at BassCat for all their late model boats.   However, if you have an older model BassCat and are interested go through BassCat.  They can help facilitate pre-owned BassCat owners with boat covers.   Sunbrella Supreme is a very expensive canvas material with a long warranty and excellent abrasion resistance.  Also, BassCat owners can go through BassCat and get lighter weight covers that are strapless just like my cover. It is available in Aqualon and Odyssey acrylic fabrics also which cost less, making it more affordable, but there could be potential abrasions on boat finishes with these covers if you are trailering your boat.  However, no abrasion worries with the Sunbrella Supreme.  It has a felt like backing under the shell.

Anyone can call Aurora Canvas and they can make anything and probably have something already designed and custom made for your Ranger thats lighter in weight.   ;)

It appears that it would fold/roll up easy enough into a small package to store away in a storage area of the boat.  That's the biggest problem with my heavy travel cover is it is not easy to store away and takes up the entire back seat of my truck when I don't have it on the boat   Thanks Tom ill give them a call and see what they offer for my platform.

BigWrench,

My cover fits in a custom bag/cover made out of the same sunbrella material and is about the size of a bushel basket (slightly taller).

Additionally,

I think Bama96 has the Aqualon strapless cover for his PIV.

Many guys will saran wrap their boats before they put their boat covers on when trailering their boats to prevent any potential abrasions.  I know Chet likes his new boat cover and the fit looks great!  I tell ya.... Strapless is the way to go if you ever are in the market for a new boat cover.

Bama96

The Aqualon is a little thicker and heavier cover. I just do not ever trailer mine with a cover so no need for the Sumbrella. I needed it more for storage when the boat is parked under the river house to keep dust/pollen etc off it. I really like the way it installs quickly without all the straps. Within 5 minutes I can have it rolled out and tightened down. Get one!

Heres an older pic of it.
