While trolling the Internet for mid-level baitcast reels on clearance/sale I ran across several baitcast reels that appeared to be of decent quality that are provided directly by Chinese manufacturers.  One in particular was "Trulinoya."  Have any members experienced such reels or in the case of a few of our members, done repairs on them?

I never heard of them. Think about this though, the new Revo line, Made In China. :(
My wife says she is gonna leave me if I go fishing one more time........lord how I will miss that woman.

I've had a Revo STX for several years that was made in China and it has been a great reel. I bought from the States and had it shipped to Korea.

NickIL, I have never heard of that reel  :-\

I can't say I've ever heard of them.  You mentioned direct from China?  Did they say what shipping would be?  I've had company's from China contact me and want me to sell thier reels but if I only order a few reels the shipping is more then the reel.  It would be interesting to find out if they come direct what shipping would be.  Ron

If you google "Trulinoya baitcast reels" you should get a listing of such reels.  Some are listed as "wholesale" products, but appear to be very low priced.  Some offer free shipping while others do not mention cost of shipping.  I had a difficult time judging the quality from the information provided, but they seem very similar to the reels we are used to seeing.

From just a quick google search the those spinning reels seem to be running about 30 and the bait casters about 50.
If your looking for a bait caster at least take a look at the lews speed spool as its only 20 dollars more. Lews is making some really nice reels now.
Rather be fishing than working! :)

I did a search and and I didn't find a manufacturer site at all.  Just guys selling them on amazon, ebay and other site like that.  Another choice might be the Lews Laser MG.  Close, or just a little more to the same price and at least you know you can get help with warranty if you should need it.  Ron

They could be a decent reel. I have seen them on ebay and other places for sale.

I personally would never purchase something like that. I will pay extra money for a companies product that I can contact here in the States. Customer service is as big, if not bigger now than in years past.  There are all sorts of products out there, but if you dont have anyone to stand behind them they are almost useless IMO.  Would just be a use it and throw it away type product.

Thanks guys.  My curiosity is satisfied.  I was fortunate enough to invest in several Curado Es a few years ago and new acquisitions have been Lews & BPS Pro Qualifiers, all left handers.  Not willing to roll the dice on one of the unknown reels from China unless one or more members on here had successfully tried them.
