What to throw?

Was able to get out on the water today. No fish though. Having trouble figuring what to throw. The fish seem to consistently be suspending in 10-20 ft off 20 to 40ft ledges. There was a stretch was a stretch where the humminbird  was chirpin non stop where the fish were holding tight to 15ft foot bottoms. I drop shotted and threw a shakey head in that area with no luck. Threw some deep husky jerks on suspended fish. On top of that there were 20mph gusts and it barley broke 50 today. A week ago the reservoir was 90% froze over and none today. Next week its not suppose to break 50 here. What my best plan of attack? (excluding staying home)
I'll do my talking on the water.

If it were me, I would be dragging a jig, fishing a deep jerkbait switching up pause lengths, slow roll a big spinnerbait on the bottom. A deep diving crank could also work... It might be too cold to hook up on the a-rig, but it might be worth chucking that too with suspending fish

A carolina rig with a floating worm if their hugging the bottom. A deep diving jerkbait if suspended or a swim bait slowrolled. And with the water temps low the slower the better.

Some days are just skunk days.
1 is luck, but 2 is a pattern!

My next thought would have been drag a football head. The catch is I have minimal luck on any type of crawfish replica here as the reservior has acid problems and the water is in the super super clear catagory. Right now I can see 12ft bottoms very clearly. During the summer in the sun you can see 20ft down some places and I've heard stories that when the reservior opened in the early 90s you could see 90ft deep some places. Anyway I think most types of reaction bites and craws are out the window right now. I may go out tomorrow in the low 40 degree weather and spoon or dead drop a weighted senko or soft jerk.

It's all about confidence. Last year alone I won a couple tournaments on lakes that you can see 12'+ on strictly football jigs. But if you don't have confidence in them there, I would stick to something else
