A good reel for the price and features!!

I have four of the old model just ordered one of this new and lighter model. Excellent reel easy to adjust for blacklash control.

Pro Reel

The new extreme is a very good reel, they made several improvements. The clutch system and gearing is very similar to a Daiwa reel. The dual braking makes it very user friendly and it would make a great reel to learn on but would still be good enough for long term use. I would rank it at above the quality of many reels in the $80 to $100 price range.

You cats sold me. I took the leap and picked it up. Thanks everyone!

FYI on line it is $10 cheaper than in store, use free ship to store and save $10.

Most of the time, if you show them the online ad, they will match it right there in the store.  At least that's been my experience.

oldjim

I tried that and they would not match

I have the new crank ratio Extreme and have been very pleased.  I like my PQs better and am used to their feel, but I thought that the Extreme was a good buy for the money.

I have the old style on my cranking rod. Very smooth. Ive thought about picking up a new one. I'm a big fan of the BPS reels.

I like the BPS Extreme reels.  I have the 2010 year model and so far I've not had any issues out of the  ( 8 ) I currently use.  I got them matched up on the BPS Extreme Trigger Sticks.

Interesting as they have done it for me a couple of times.  Maybe it's up to the individual manager. I do know that I am becoming less of a fan of theirs though.  Monday I went to my local BPS for some things and they don't even stock most of them even though it is in their catalog.  I understand they can't stock EVERYTHING but geeze.  So I ordered online but NOT from them.  That will show them, lol !

Show the ad and they will honor the price.
