just received the scale(15lb model) today as gift. just wanted to know if anybody has used it and what do you think of it.  it looks nice seems like it would work well. i will test it out this weekend in one of my clubs TX. i guess i can use only 5 of the 8 weight storage bins on the scale for my TX for culling?

I've had mine for a few years now, great scale.  You can use all 8 but why would you if you have a 5 fish limit?  My scale and the clubs scale are right on, so I know what I have before the weigh-in and it's nice to be able to cull out the little fish without having to dig for the old marker and pad sheet.

Only thing I did was remove the quick clips from the cull tags and replaced them with the type you punch through the lip of a fish.

Other than that I've been very very happy with mine and have recommended it to others that have been looking for a new scale.

I have recently ordereed 2 of them from the States as here in South Africa they are double the price You pay in the USA. I have heard great reports about them but also heard that it is better to replace the clips on culling lines with proper stringer clips. So I ordered a couple from Amazon for about 5 dollars which is very affordable.

thanks guys,
ya fogy, i wasn't going to use their lip clips. when the first came out what 8yrs ago with that type they just feel off the fish in the livewell. i was just thinking of keeping the cullrings i have(safety pin type clip), i already have them numbered so they should work well. also i wouldn't use all 8, just five for the TX unless it was team TX with more fish.
sabasser, sorry to hear the price by you are sky high, are you sure we are talking about the same scale because it cost us here about $44?

Yar in South Africa the lowest price I could get was US$ 84. Unfortunately due to us being a much smaller market and high duties on goods we get ripped off badly. Fortunately I order most of my tackle via Tackle Warehouse and EBAY so I hardly ever get ripped off by our ridiculous local prices.
Its the exact same scale You are talking about, I ordered them via Amazon at US$ 44. Transport and duties came up to about US$ 10 so all in all I saved about US$ 30  :)

I have been using mine for almost two years now and I really like it. I agree with what Fogy said
100 %. It's also nice if you have two big fish that are really close so you can identify which fish is your true lunker. It sucks to lose it to someone else by that 2 or 3/100ths of a pound.  >:D
