Best way to not lose water in live wells in rough water

Thought I would share this over here as it seems to work really well.  Found this threaded shut off valve that threads perfectly with the bass cat over flow pipe.  I leave the valve open all the time but when it gets rough i reach in and twist it and your good to go without losing any water.
