In Lower Slower Delaware there are NO Lakes just rivers and big ponds, but I use
Seaford City Ramp & Park
DuPont Crossroads
Seaford Delaware
Department of Parks and Recreations
Monitored By DNREC
Nanticoke River
No Phone

This is found off DuPont CrossRoads and Woodland Ferry Road.........
From Rt.#20 Stein Hgwy West make a left on Clubhouse Road, go to the end heading south, at the stop sign make a right and then a left follow the road over the XCrossing and
into the parking lot..........For those Familiar next to Waste/Water Treatment

Just like okuma500 said this is Delaware and there are no Lakes just ponds and rivers. My favorite pond is Horsey Pond which is monitered by DNREC. It is a 46-acre lake located in the south-west corner of the state, 1 mile south-west of Laurel, DE,  on Delaware 24. the nearest tackle shop that I am aware of is called Taylored Tackle Shop and the address is 27147 Seaford Rd, Seaford, DE  19973 and their phone number is 302-629-9017. There is no marina on this lake.

I like Portsville Pond, it's small only 15 acres but it has it all pad's, grass, stump's, drop's and lot's of fish.

LoonyToon

If you have a boat less than 18ft with a shallow draft Portsville Pond will deliver some of the Biggest fish (Bass) in the area.......

Laurel Fire Dept. uses that pond for certification on scuba diving/rescue and have seen  ;PHO) of Bass over 8lbs from that pond.............

I used to fish it regular with my buddy Big Bubba till he got a burr up his  :ass......he lives right around the corner from it.......Has a nice Javelin Venom.....

We used my Skiff and his for over 2 years there.....one of the most productive days fishing was there 24 Largemouth Bass over 2 lbs. in one day on a Black/Blue flek straight worm
rigged whacky style.........

I have a 19'10'' Ranger and have no problem getting in or out and never see any boats, it's like my own private pond.

mine was Grifiths down from Haven untill the dam broke. ~rant

LoonyToon

Don't worry they are restocking as i type.................

I really loved Portville, especially off the point by the big pine, and down by the dam....

yeah- I cant remember the exact number but when the dam broke we moved a lot of fish from Grffiths to haven. Then when the dam was finished we moved a number of them back into Griffith. Over time honestly I think it will benifit the fishery. The forage this summer will have high numbers as long as we dont have a drought or somthing.
Luck isn't a factor

LoonyToon

There is Absolutely no chance of a drought as I am typing this as it is  ~rain ~rain cats/dogs and the bait monkey just called...............I'm in trouble---------AGAIN

~c~ ~c~ I am sooooo happy to be back..The last 1 1/2 years(actually 2)have been the pits..with the knee replacement and then breaking my patella on that same leg had me hobbling and back door fishing for quite awhile. I still can not do 8 hrs. on the trolling motor but at least I get out now.
Pond/Lake fishing in LSD can not be any better especially this past year...the weather has been great and so far winter has spairred us it's brunt so there was really NO need to winterize your steed..
Horsey is still producing nice 3-5lb LMB even on Crankbaits as we took last week.
You can find Nice LMB also at Hearns this time of the year.....
Trap Pond outside of Laurel has produced nice fish especially in the trough by the point where the pavilion is at.............But the Biggest Hawgs have been found at Johnsons including a 9lb LMB caught just last November/December and I hooked it myself earlier this month and got lost to a break-off right at the boat before Frank and I could net it......They are here, waiting, and available anytime you can.Paul
