New to the forum and hoping someone could help me out.  My father-in-law and I just picked up a 2005 TZX200 that was stolen and then recovered.  They pulled off the motor but left the jack plate.  They left all the guages, but also stole the control panel console up on the bow and also the trolling motor.  I'm trying to order all the wire harnesses through a local dealer, since most the wires have been cut.  I'm pretty sure the boat came with a Yamaha 200 V-MAX HPDI?  Does anyone know where to find these motors used?  Do most of these motors come complete to the shifter assembly or does it depend on how it's ordered?  I know outboard are ordered with different shaft sizes for depth, which size did these come with? Also which prop came with the boat, or does anyone with the same boat recommend a good prop?

Thanks,
Matt

Richard Belt at Tinys fiberglass in Longview Texas has a lot of Skeeter parts. His number is 903-753-5843,  He may also know where a motor is.  Tell him I sent you.. :)

A little information regarding your boat:
The Jack plate is 12" adjustable.  The Engine was indeed a Yamaha 200-horsepower HPDI VMax and your prop a 15 1/8 by 25 inch stainless steel propeller.  This provides for top speed of  70.2 mph, burning 19.6 gallons per hour.  0 to 30 in 4.9 secs.

As far Used motors go, you can use a search engine to locate or find some on EBAY although I would hit up your local dealers as you may be able to find an isurance claim where the boat was totalled and the motor is availble.  The bass boat came with a short shaft (around 20") it may be tempting to go with a long shaft saltwater motor but you may want to consider resale value and limited access to shallow water.  The shifter assy coming with the motor is basically a matter of where you are getting the motor from.  You may consider going with a different brand motor if $$$ are a consideration I was able to find Yammies from $8500 to $17,000  Some other brands a little more available and cheaper...Unsure of where you live and that will make a difference as well.

Hope this helps.  Let me know if you need anything else...

Thank you for all the info IClass!  I've contacted a Skeeter dealer in the area and i'm in the process on getting some prices on some of the Skeeter parts I need.  Also thanks Bass11.11, I'll try and give that contact a call about motors and any other parts I may need.
Do you guys think since I need to start from scratch with the motor, is it best to just convert this boat to a Mercury?  It seems like a much more common motor to come across, I guess I'm just not familiar with these newer bass boats, and what's involved with the wiring harnesses.
Here's a couple pics of the boat we picked up!

I as kind of alluding to that point, it may be less expensive to get you up and running but may limit the resale of the boat, as it isn't original equipment.  It can get you on the water with less out of pocket outlay and Mercury is a fine engine as well.  The toughest part about installing new Harnesses is fishing them through, but not too difficult.

Would you mind if I asked about what you paid for a insurance claim boat?  Just curious.
