I'm looking to buy a legend and see on the website that they have demo boats for sale.  My biggest hangup so far has just been money.  Has anyone bought a demo? If so what are some pros and cons to buying a demo and are they really a good deal?

JMGullo

Demo boats are a really good deal. Most will still have a warranty as well but new is new.

Prostaff/Demo is the only way I will go.

Not all Demos are the same,,,, the best thing with getting one from Legend is that they should go through it from top to bottom before moving it on to the new owner.    ~c~

Thanks for the info guys! I know that alot of car dealerships will finance demos as new and that you are considered the first buyer.  Is it the same with boats?

Usually if it's never been titled. All depends on who is financing it. I don't think you'll go wrong with a Legend demo boat. ;D I have thoroughly enjoyed my LE195 although I got mine new. I know several folks that have bought demos that have been very happy!

My 199 was a Demo, it had like 75 hours on the motor, but that's low. Boat has performed like new, had full warranty, and bank financed like a new boat. The part I really liked was I didn't have to break it in. I still have it and will go with a demo boat again, it saves a ton of money. You can upgrade the small things as you go.
