Does anyone have any info other than what they've put out on YouTube regarding the new high end line of rods?

Mike Cork

;) release date unknown. Probably not until summer. Laurie is meeting with Garry at the end of the week and I'm hoping she can get some "Down Low" on them ~shade

Looking forward to it.  Can't imagine them being better than the champ extremes.

Mike Cork

I thought the same thing. The Champion Extremes are amazing in their selves but....

Aren't the Champs already $350? Can't imagine anyone coming out with a line of rods more expensive than that....

kidd

They're $320-$340 so I'm gonna take a wild stab and say the new line will be $400ish or so.

Man, that's going to be a niche market. Can't see to many forking out that much for a shelf rod. I know Z-bones are in the $350 range and that's one of the most expensive rods out there. Just wonder what they can "do better" to make it worth more.

kidd

Yeah that's an expensive rod but I figured he'd start competing with the jdm companies like evergreen and megabass.  A lot of those west coasters eat those rods up.

beast96z

True, they are off their rockers out west. lo

I forget where I read it but I think the rods will be called the Zayta Series. 3M nano matrix resin  and cost 500 bucks. WOWSER! Wish I can remember where I saw this. The rods look awesome.

For that price they BETTER do more than look awesome like maybe they can actually catch the fish for you and bring it to your boat. I like quality stuff but that's just crazy.

Mike Cork

This rod is going to be awesome but it's got a price tag. It's probably more than most will want to spend on a rod. However there are those out there that want the absolute best possible combination of lightness versus sensitivity and this is going to be it. Probably out of most budgets but many will also have a rod locker full of them :shocking:

Talk with Laurie today and I think she is going to meet with Garry Friday. More to come on that :-*
