It was a tough day for us for sure.  I did have fun though. Thanks for running the club!!!

Todd

It was a tough day fishing but fun as always. We caught our fish early on beavers under hyacinth and the last one came on a redeye shad. Trolling batteries all but gave out abt 1:30 from chopping grass and the winds. Hopefully the winds wont be too bad on Grand next month!!

Happy to run the club, if there is ever a sugestion or ideas on how to do anything better I'm all for it.

Day did not go as planned,,,, but when fishing it never does LOL  Couldn't get the boat to start until noon, so forced to fish the docks, stumps and trees close to the launch,,, guess it liked the cold even less than I did.  LOL

Once I got it started I ran to where I was going to start and got 2 bites right off the bat, put one in the boat and the other a good 3.5 to 4lbs fish ran for deep water and got hung, trolled over and found the fish and hook were stuck in a gill net.  Worked the hook free, let some slack in the net and the fish slipped away.
By then I kinda threw in the towle and just took some time to look around and followed the net from end to end, had to be 200 - 250 yards long, no way that thing should be in this lake.

Anyway hate to say it but felt a bit better after the weigh-in because at least I wasn't alone!  LOL

See you all in March if not before hand.

Aren't gill net illegal??
Thanks to Fogie for running this tournament. It has been years since I had the problem of my eyelets freezing so you know what kind of day it was.
we caught our 2 keepers about 9:00 and did not connect again until about noon. We had a big fish up to boat, but he got off, and I had an even bigger fish break my 14ib test line a few mines later. Dan also hooked up a big fish, but couldn't keep it on. So we ended up with only two small fish. caught fish jacks and bass, but bass were to small.
