Yup for sure.

I took advantage of Academy, got a $59 ugly stick combo (for salt) for $39.

I wanted to try Sufix line and they had some on clearance, for $4.

Even the Wife made out. She got me a pine rod rack listed for $99 for $20. I don't even look at "furniture" when I'm shopping for fishing stuff.

We were going to run to Bass Pro, but chickened out, I can get expensive there.

I got my vendetta when it was full price =(  vendettas are awesome though.  BEST ROD DEAL EVER.  I got a 7' medium heavy, fast action rod for 75 dollars  and I LOVE it....it's strong and it's sensitive and lightweight.  Vendettas are so overlooked.  I paired mine with a Shimano Citica..absolutely loving it for a spinnerbait/buzzbait/worm/jig rod.  I LOVE IT

I went to BPS Sat to buy "one" Crank'n stick and left $452 lighter...

BPS is just like Wal-Mart you go in for a roll of toilet paper and end up coming out with $90 worth of stuff you didnt intend to get.  I ended up $325 less in my bank account last BPS trip....

I was pretty disappointed with Cabellas, they were pretty over priced in my opinion, and what I wanted from the internet, they didn't have, and wouldn't make a compatible match.

When we go to Bass Pro Shop in either Katy or Pearl land, my wife usually finds at least $100 bucks in clearance items that is well below what they sell for usually, on top of the $100 or so I buy in tackle. At Cabella's the best deal in the bargain cave was a reel that was $20 cheaper than what the original ticket price was.

I ended up getting a whuppin stick for $24 bucks. Would've been cheaper to order it and pay the stinking shipping instead of going 100 miles out of my way.
