Trolling Motor

I just bought a 88 Bass Tracker TX 17.  All it needs is a trolling motor. I was wondering what shaft length to go with? Getting a Minn Kota Powerdrive V2. Any help would be appreciated.

pretty sure the bow should sit close to the same distance off the water as my 10 bass tracker txw. if thats the case 42"

I have the pro 165 and just upgraded to the 70 lb Minn kota. Went with the 42" and still have to raise it up.

Thanks guys. This is my first boat that doesnt go on top of my truck. A lot of great people and information here.
