I'm kinda of confused about this set up, do you attach the hook with an O-ring or do you just hook thru the middle? I haven't found much online and only saw it briefly on WFN

BlackCat

You can do both!! Reason for using the o ring is to get more use out of one senko!! With the o ring the senko dosen,t tear as fast!!
Some people want to be like Mike, I want to be like IKE!!!!

How do I rig it with the O-ring ? I can't find any videos show how to do this

Exactly.
Crude pictures attached using only o-rings I had at the house. (thicker than what I use)

Thanks that is a big help, last question. How far down the senko do I put the hook? In the middle or more towards the front?

kidd

Round about the egg sack will work.

This is better than an "O" ring and easier to install. 3/8" heat shrink tubing and a GOOD hook that can handle the biggest bass in the pond (4/0 Octopus hook with added braided stainless steel weedguard)

Fitzfisher, I buy it at Lowe's. Home Depot should have in the electrical dept.
I use the 1/8" heat shrink tubing to attach the weedguard to the hook also.

For the Senko, there is no need to heat the tubing. Some of the knock-offs are a little smaller in diameter so a little heat to reduce the size is needed.

That weedless finesse wide gap hook posted is a missed hookset waiting to happen. The plastic "weedguard" is really weak for fishing in and around substantial cover.
The Octopus hook has a lot better hook-up ratio.

I had tried to figure out the double o-ring set up in my mind and just couldn't. Thanks for those pics. That seems much better than the single o-ring since the hook is perpendicular to the worm. Probably get better action this way.

Does any one ever just nose hook their senkos?
Nothing makes a fish bigger than ALMOST being caught.

I like a standard o ring and a gammy weedless finnesse hook

I just hook mine through the middle and if i get lucky to use it again i just hook closer to the top or bottom.

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but someone a few weeks ago posted this from Monster Tackle. It is a double wacky hook:

Do you guys use weights on your wacky rigs?  I had one guy tell me he puts a split shot weight about 18 inches above the worm.

I have tryed many brands and styles and this is by far the best setup I have ever used. Great hookups and I can get it through nasty stuff
