Livewell to Big

I've got a 2009 Triton VT 17 with a 25 HP Mercury. The reason for the small engine is there are a lot of "fisherman" lakes close, but you are limited to 25 HP. With that said, when using the livewell which holds 30 gallons of water, I am lugging around another 250 lbs, all in the back of the boat. Does anyone have any suggestions/experiences in revamping the livewell on this type of boat so that it is only 1/2 size? 30 Gallons of water is a lot to drag around all day, especially at the start of the day when you just caught your first fish.
