Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone fishes the Opens as a co-angler?  Was just looking for general info regarding how long it takes to get the registration packet/confirmation that I will be fishing.  My 150 deposit is paid, I'm just awaiting confirmation.  Any info regarding the Opens would be appreciated.

I heard packets were starting to roll out.   I think I got mine already.  You can call if you want just to confirm your in, but your packet is probably on the way.  They were just a little slow getting them out this year.

Thanks, like I said, this will be my first Open.  I wasn't in too much of a hurry since it isn't until the middle of August, just curious.  I am familiar with the operatings of BASS, since I take care of our clubs roster dues, etc. ::) lo

Which one are you fishing?

I have co'd on weekend series, open, and Elite before it went marshal and done a marshal too.

I was hoping to fish some this year - but my work schedule conflicts with the ones I am interested in.

Hope you get good pairings and have a blast!

I fished as a co the past 2 years. Got offered a spot on the Pro side this year and decided not to do it. I don't know how long it will take your packet to get there, but as a co, your almost guaranteed a spot. The co's normally limit the pro's, at least that's the way it has been since I started.

Thanks guys, this is good news.  I will be fishing the 3rd Northern Open on Lake Cayuga, NY.  It's a lake that I have only been to a handful of times, but will get the chance to fish a couple tournaments there this year.  My dad used to love going up to Cayuga, but once my brother and myself got into fishing he laid off the tournaments until we were old enough to fish them with him.  The dates are August 16-18th. I'm looking forward to the experience.

Should be a good one.  Smallies and LMB.  LMB will win the tourney.  Fish a biffle bug in the grass!

I've been looking at results from recent years around that time, some pretty big sacks for up North. I'm pretty much expecting topwater, jig, vibrashock, creature bait, swimbait. But then again, all the major tournaments that I plan on fishing this year are on the Potomac, Flats, and Cayuga, so those rods should get a good workout every trip. Thanks for the info. ;)
