I know you all talk about the monkey on your back... Try fishing with 280 pounds of dead weight.

Fishing a team tournament and my "pre selected partner" didn't catch a fish. Not only did he not catch a fish but I was constantly getting him un-hung from trees. having to back up so he could get his "Weedless" jig from a stump. He didn't do anything except eat every last cracker and granola bar I had in the boat.

I couple weeks ago I get asked to go fishing on New Year's Eve day. Sure sounds like fun. Then all the sudden there is a fruit jar on the same lake being run buy the same guy that asked me to go fishing with him. Talk about pre-selected....

I went as far as setting the boat up in the perfect position, putting the power poles down so it wouldn't move. Told him where to cast (after about 6 tries he'd finally get it to the right place). I told him how to work the bait to draw a strike. I did everything I could to get him to catch a fish but no... he is incapable of catching a fish. I tried to cheer him up, constantly telling him he'll get it, told him up until the last minute that it was okay that I caught all the fish because he was going to catch the kicker fish and it would be all good. But nooo, he quits early. I boated one about 4 pounds an hour before weigh in and he sat down in the back of the boat, folded his arms, and pouted like my 3 year old grand daughter after you tell her she can have a piece of chocolate.

280# for nine hours straight... I can hardly lift my arms today :shocking:

Disclaimer: while every bit of what I speak is true, I had a good time and laughed the hole day. If you can't have fun, then why are you out there, right :-\ Just so everyone knows, it was JMGULLO... If he asks you to go fishing, bring two full boxes of granola bars and 4 boxes of peanut butter crackers!!!

PS Disclaimer: Since I mentioned his name in the Disclaimer, it doesn't count as me picking on him. Only if you mention a members name in the actual post :-*

Wait...He quit EARLY!!!  ...and he was still trying to dis the southern angler who drove 2 hours up to a lake he had never fished before.  So, did he get any bites that he knew about?  Hell, I set the hook on a fish habitat ball, and at least three tops (got them to the boat) and yes I set a trokar in a stump.  But Y'all had Power Poles...I was the "Rear Nav station and dynamic positioning" for Fogy's Loaner boat

I guess I need to come show your partner how to navigate inland waterways so he can actually practice more than 100 yards away from the boat launch.

I did have a great partner, Fantastic conversation and learned alot about Bisteneau.  Actually reminds me alot of Black Lake in Campti.  I enjoyed meeting everyone, putting faces with names.  Although, I am horrible with names and may have to be reminded again...

One other thing... I loved seeing DB's work in Vinyl... "J E L L O" (IN PINK!) Couldn't have asked for a better way to knock 2011 out of the park.
Thanks fellas for a Great time, Great fellowship, and Great freindship!

Then Jello came to my house and told the same story all night long about how he was going to help Bobber land a fish and when he reached down he had his knife in his hand next to the line   lo lo Was kinda funny the 1st time, not so much the 2nd, 3rd or 4th  ::) ::) by the start of the 5th slurred story I asked him if he was a future alzheimer's victim  ~shade    ~roflmao ~roflmao ~roflmao

Disclaimer: Jello is not his screen name,,,,,,,,,,,, yet  >:D

Wait, Let me get this straight...........  You can drive a BOAT from Mobile to Houston, but you can't find the other side of Plum orchard?  :-\

JMGullo

I do need to learn a few thing about my units that's for sure. I had a blast even if I did have to hear Cork cry like a baby all day. He messed with me all day but as soon as I messed with him he started crying saying I thought you wanted to win? Poor thing. Had a great time at Ron's as well. My boat is always open for y'all too.

I honestly have no idea what they are talking bout? I did do a little fishing near the ramp one morning because the fog was too bad to run. Plus sometimes there is good fishing right there.

The Lockjaw Guys can't give you a hard time about this....  They didn't fish well at Bist.  and from what I understand the flirted with Death running through stump feilds too.  lo

Was it Fogy all day...the story I was getting from YOUR partner, was that since you didn't know the lake you didn't want to get out in it...Maybe it was because of the fog, maybe...Ron sure told me y'all stayed on the water all this week practicin', your partner said he couldn't get more than 100 yards either side of the boat launch...

BTW...Someone hinted that you just didn't want to scratch your boat up again. ~shhh
