2012 Models

Was looking at the 2012 models (Pt175 & 190) and neither looks to have really changed from 2011's.

Wonder if Tracker will ever be able to have a recessed foot pedal for the trolling motor?

I would guess the reason is cost of production.  My friend has a PT190 that he bought used and the original owner installed his own recessed foot pedal.  Trackers are made as fast and as cheap as possible and taking the time to add a recessed foot pedal would cause them to have to raise the price.  Even though I think it would be really easy to have a hole cut in the deck while its being made and just drop a pro control in later.

I can tell you on the 175 the rod tubes practically run all the way to the bow.  A recessed pedal is only possible if you're willing to loose rod storage tubes.

this is one reason I went with Crestliner. I don't like center rod boxes. tm well is standard. I can't believe that this would increase the cost that much. they should at least offer it as an option.

Iforogt they added the center rod storage in them.  My buddies pt 190 is an older model and has the side lockers.  Looked like they had no problem installing the recessed foot pedal, but it makes since why they didn't if they have the rod tubes there.
