Wife has little dog "Hershey" for over 15 yrs, she had him put to sleep today. Little fuzz's ball was a joy for her, even got so he would go and get her to go sit on couch and watch TV. She loved that little dog and he loved her. When she was gone he would sit at door and look out for her for hours at a time until she came home. Know she is heart broken, but putting up a good front. Sad day.

I know how she feels. Had a little Pomeranian and she slept on my pillow for 17 years. I held her when they put her to sleep. One of the hardest things ive eveer done. Like losing a child. But time does heal.

Sorry to hear about your little dog.  I had to put my dog to sleep November 11th, and I will say it was absolutely one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.  He was my buddy for 15 years and there hasnt been a day go by since that I havent thought of him.
