Well,

Hit Glenbawn this weekend with some other WSBB and Ausbass members, arrived on Friday to the most perfect of weather, which was a change from St Clair always being so windy.

Was setting up camp when a few of the guys that had arrived the night before came back, they were saying how tough it was out there and just no Bass around.

I setup camp and decided to head out for a couple hours myself to find those elusive Bass, ended up with 6 Bass best going 395mm fork and another 370 most the others were all quite small.
These dam bass do hit well and feel like a much bigger bass a bit dissapointing when you get them to the boat.[:D]

370 and 395 Bass

Pulled in after a few hours fishing for some lunch and headed back out at approx 630pm, oh how I wish I had stayed in shore.... a storm whipped up...I headed for home, but to late the front came through so quickly wind was blowing a gale, waves at 3-5ft high, rain was coming horizontally whipping against the face... bugger this! headed for land anywhere hoping I would make it...bloody hell never **** myself so bad, well the boat and I made it to shore I tied up to a tree and the waves came crashing over the back of the boat filling it up with water, I watched as there was nothing that could be done but take a couple photos and wade out the storm.

As the storm subsided I was stranded in a bay, managed to flag down another boat by flashing the torch, they came over and helped me bail out the boat as the waves kept lapping and refilling it.

My Poor Edgetracker

GaryL, Davereenee, and Lou were performing a search for the missing boats, they ended up coming by assisting with the rescue as well could not get the boat started as the fuel was water logged, Lou ended up towing me back to shore, Gary and Dave continued the search for other stranded boats.

BIG Thanks for the assistance guys

Was speaking to the ranger and he was saying this appeared to be a mini cyclone.

What an intro to Glenbawn!..at least everyone got out safe and well.

I ended up leaving Saturday morning as all my reels are full of grit from the swamping... to use them would just grind the insides and they will require a servicing before gettting on the water again.

Actually, washed the boat out over the weekend, everythign still appears to be working, accept there is like an inch thick pile of mud/sand down near the bungs...trying to figure out how to get rid of it easily as washing it out will be hard due to a metal bar being in the way.
