Just heard that the 2013 Classic will be at Grand lake. Thats great news for me because thats just a 3 hour drive. I'm already making plans to be there. I don't know if it's great news for the anglers though. I remember watching Skeet Reece try to figure out how to open frozen rod lockers at Lay lake 2 years ago. If they thought that was bad, just imagine what it could be like at Grand the 3rd week of February. Last winter we had 18 inchs of snow.

They need to move the Classic back to a Summer, Season ending event,  where families can make it a vacation destination.  OK in Feb is gonna be a Cold one!

It could be decent weather, or it could be a real mess. I just updated my post with a picture of the Tera Mirands docks during last years Feb snowstorm.

HA!  someone should forward that picture to BASS.  Wonder if they have a contingency plan?

I'm glad to hear that it will be at Grand only 45 minutes from my house, but the time of year should be changed to before Christmas or March. Feb is just too unpridictable and even if we don't get the snow you can bet there will be ice floating around.

Have they set a date?

I bet Mike McClelland is happy to hear that, he has always performed well on Grand.
