I thought this might be a good place to add a forum for the Oregon State Bass Fishing Information. I know that there are a lot of you out there talking about fishing and this will give you a place to talk about the area fishing information that isn't really a fishing report. Things like slot limits, lake closers, Fishing and Game issues and trips or stories about Oregon.

Well people it is that time of year again when the fish begin to bite here in In the big O State.  I actually saw the sun for most of the day today.  In about three weeks there is even a tournament on the Willamette River.  I love the name of it too The Cabin Fever Classic.  So Here is the deal, I am new to the area and would like to fish the tournament but know very little about the river above the falls.  If you are from this area you will know what I am talking about.  What should a guy be looking for up there, and more importantly what should I be looking out for?

Also What is the hot presentation on this river given the time of year?

Have fun and I hope to see you on the river

Hi Laurie,
My thoughts exactly.  I would like to see some post on Oregon Bass fishing.  I am a new bass fisherman,  I plan on Fishing the Umpqua River for Smallmouth this spring.  It is said to be a very productive fishery,  200 fish days are not uncommon.  I am hearing varying reports about the size, but the most reliable source said he has caught 6-8# fish with some regularity.

So hope this post sparks a bit of intrest.
