Sometimes I like to share a trick or two with fellow crappie fishermen. I have a lot of tricks that I have learned over the years and sometimes I will share them from time to time. One of my all time favorites is when you are fishing with minnows for crappie and for some reason the bite slows down and you need a little edge to make them start back to biting I will take my nail clippers out of one of my trick holding Plano boxes. Take the nail clippers and clip about 1/8" of of the bottom tail fin of the minnow and put it on the hook. This little trick will make the minnow swim in a distress mode and a crappie can't resist it. Trust me, it works.
