I tried out a weedless wedge prop on my Endura 40 c2 on a very weedy local reservoir.   It pushed the crawdad at close to 4 knots on the open and pushed through the heaviest cover (pads, coontail, mats) with impressive ease.   In 3 hours of fishing, I only cleared the motor shaft (not the prop) 4 times!   The prop remained clear of obstructions the whole trip.

If you need a new prop, give one a look.   I picked this one up on Amazon for $15 and used amazon prime for $3.99 next day air so I'd have the thing in time for my Thursday night car topper tournament.

thats good to hear. i am looking at gettin a new prop, mines all beat up. was wondering if that little curve in the blade really makes a diff. hate clearing the prop all the time. thanks for the info man gettin one asap.

If you like that one, try the weedless wedge 2, it has curved fins at the end of the prop. I run them on my Maxxum 55 and both Endura 50's. Runs $30-$35 each prop.

I used to have a 40 Endura, don't remember if I had a wedge 2 for it though lo

I can tell you this though, if you have the motor down off the back of the boat and back the trailer down a hill, the prop will snap in half if it hits the ground....... $35 lesson there buddy

The kipawa is fatastic on a MotorGuide. I could plow through matted grass until my big motor got hung  ~bb

Mike I was just reading it helps with battery life as well? Can you verify that by any chance?

Running a 36v system I've never had battery issues.  So I can't really confirm that.  But I've heard that it does improve battery life in smaller systems.

Mike, did you ever use the kipawa in harder bottom conditions? I am just curious with it being metal if there will be issues when you hit something solid on the bottom like a stump or rock?

The couple I had were a composite plastic and there were no issues.  If they've switched to a metal then I have no idea how they work :surrender:

For some reason I was thinking they were metal. If they are platic I am going to get one too try! The machete is good, but always looking for better! lo

From what I read on their site, they are composite Shawn. Thinking of trying one before the end of year. My wedge 2 is a spare at the moment and has some big chips. Apparently you can only sand them down so much lo

ah, perfect.  I had wondered if there was a nother prop outhere.  I have tried the motorguide weedless prop and the machette series.  the machette is not very weedless untill you blast them off by hitting it on 5.  the weedless ones seem to have a funny viberation that has to be loud in the water, and they are not as powerful as the machette in open water.  So i have my fingers crossed with the kipawa prop.  Seems like it would be best of both worlds.  long swooping blades for weedles and 3 with a good pitch for open water.  cool.
