Indy Bass Club Tournament Reminder:
Date:  June 11 & 12, 2011

Check in – 4:20 to 5:10am        All times are Central Time Zone for Illinois
Launch – 5:30am CT
Weigh in – 1:30pm CT
Park entry fee is $15.00 per boat.   We will abide by the 15 inch size limit of 5 black bass (largemouth, smallmouth, or spotted bass) per team. We will not participate in the slot limit under 12 inches!   40mph speed limit strictly enforced!  Culling must be done upon the catch of fish number 6.  Please make sure you have read the club rules and are familiar with them.  There have been a few updates since last year. 
Directions from Terre Haute:   (according to mill creek's website) take Interstate 70 west about 18 miles to the Marshall, IL exit.  Take Route 1 South to Route 40.  Turn right on Route 40 and go about a half a mile.  Look for the brown Mill Creek Park sign on the right.  Turn right on the Clarksville Road. Go about 7 miles.  The park is on the left. You will see a small portion of the lake from the road.
To insure a smooth check-in, pre-tournament meeting and to begin the tournament on time please follow the guidelines below.
Officers: Plan to arrive at 4am Saturday to allow a proper amount of time to launch your boats and be set up and ready to conduct check in and live well checks beginning at 4:20am. The Check-in area will be set up at the top of the ramp parking lot.
Members: Upon arrival at the ramp parking lot at 4:20am to 5am please check in with the officers.  Pay your entry fee ($70) and/or optional Big Bass pot ($10) to Jason Smith.  Make sure you are marked as paid.  After you have paid see Brian Hollis to draw your launch number.  If you wish to participate in the optional $10 Big Bass Rollover pot see Rick Ray.  Mike Schwomeyer or another officer will be checking live wells before you proceed to launch your boat. After live well has been checked launch your boat and tie it off in a boat slip.
Pre- tournament meeting will be by or at the docks at 5:15am.  Size limit, off limits, 1st place auction, what's considered a live fish, and other formalities will be addressed here.  If you are late for the meeting it is your responsibility to find another member on the lake to have your live well checked before you begin fishing.  You must also indicate at this time your intent to enter either big bass pots.
We will be weighing fish from the water this tournament per Mill Creek Rules. Your catch will be disqualified if you trailer your boat.  Please bring rope and bumpers for the docks. Officers will weigh first to allow them to conduct officer duties during weigh in. Mill Creek rules state that we can only have 5 teams in line at one time. We will not call team numbers to come to weigh in. You may come at your own discretion. Watch the line. We will weigh the fish as fast as possible. If you have a fish that you want weighed for big bass or rollover, let Mike Botos know. He will get it weighed and documented. If you have a stressed fish, notify an officer and we will weigh you first.

**The water temperature is going to be approximately 80 degrees, please make sure your live wells are in good working order. To reduce fish mortality bring extra ice to add to your live well and possibly purchase additives like "Catch and Release" or "Please Release Me" available at Bass Pro Shop. Outdoorsman, Honey Creek Tackle and   Wal-Mart has a product from Renegade called "Rejuvenade" that helps reduce stress and removes chlorine. Run your livewell on "Continuous" setting.  A ½ pound (8 oz) penalty for each dead fish will be strictly enforced. The Assistant Tournament Director will advise the Tournament Director of any fish he believes to be "Dead". The Tournament Director will make the final decision.  It is not our goal to penalize anglers but to protect the well being of the fish so take good care of your fish.
