Does anyone know how lake Oneida is around the second or third week of May?  Are the smallmouth's still in the rivers or in the main lake?  Also, are they on beds or is that pre or post spawn?  I would appreciate any info.  Thanks.

Was hoping some of the guys down state would have jumped in here to offer some suggestions.  The time of the year you are looking at fishing is during the "catch and release" season as the regular bass season does not open until the 3 rd Saturday in June.  Not many people will give out much information about fishing for bedding fish here in NY.  Based on past experience on Lake Onieda I found the smallmouths to be in deeper water near the mid lake shoals.
